About the course

What you’ll learn

This 24-hour course covers the full Certified Tester Foundation Level v4.0 syllabus with an ISTQB®-certified CTFL 4.0 instructor, in small live classes. Choose the pace that fits: 3 days of 8 hours, 4 days of 6 hours, 5 days of about 5 hours, or 6 days of 4 hours. Every chapter pairs the concepts with worked, exam-style examples, and the test design techniques in chapter 4 get extra time because they carry the most exam questions. Your registration includes a two-month simul8R Student Pass: full practice exams that follow the official exam structure, on the same screen as your real exam (Pearson VUE, Kryterion or iSQI), with explanations for every answer and readiness by chapter. The course is independent exam preparation and its ISTQB accreditation is pending; the certification exam is booked separately with an ISTQB exam provider.

Questions

Before you register

Is the exam included?

No. You book the ISTQB® CTFL exam separately with an exam provider (in the US, ASTQB/AT*SQA exams cost about $229). simul8R lets you practice on that provider’s exact screen, including the online check-in.

How do the 3, 4, 5 and 6-day formats differ?

Only in pace. Every format covers the same 24 hours of instruction, exercises and exam technique. The 6-day class runs in the evenings, Monday to Saturday, for people who work during the day. Each class lists its exact days and times.

When does my simul8R access start and end?

Right away when you register, and it runs until two months after your class starts, so you can practice before, during and after the course.

What if the class doesn’t fill?

A class runs once it reaches its minimum size, normally 12 students. If one doesn’t, we’ll offer you another date or a full refund.

Can my company send a team?

Yes. We run private classes for teams, online or on site, on your schedule. Request a quote or call 571-327-8726.
